(Snow White runs in, very nervous.)

SNOW WHITE: Help! Help! Please, somebody, help me!

NARRATOR: (Startled) Oh! Who are you? And why are you in my story?

SNOW WHITE: I’m Snow White! My stepmother is evil, and she wants to get rid of me! I had to run away and—

NARRATOR: (Interrupting) Wait! Stop right there! This is not your story. I’m telling Little Red Riding Hood’s story!

(looks at audience) Oh no… this is a disaster. I’m going to lose my job!

SNOW WHITE: (Crying to the audience) Please forgive me! I’m kind and sweet, but my stepmother doesn’t love me!

NARRATOR: We do feel sorry for you, Snow White… but you’re in the wrong story.

SNOW WHITE: Oh… really?

NARRATOR: Yes. Look! (points to a little house) Do you see that house over there?

SNOW WHITE: Yes!

NARRATOR: Go there. I’m sure someone will be able to help you.

SNOW WHITE: (Kisses Narrator) Thank you!

(Snow White runs to the little house and knocks.)

THREE LITTLE PIGS: (From inside) Who’s making all that noise?

SNOW WHITE: It’s Snow White! Please help me, dwarves!

(Door opens.)

THREE LITTLE PIGS: Uh… we’re not dwarves. We’re the Three Little Pigs. We’re hiding from the wolf. Come in, we’ll protect you!

(They enter the house. Little Red Riding Hood enters, singing.)

Little Red Riding Hood: 🎵 I’m following the yellow brick road— 🎵

NARRATOR: Hey! Not your turn! Please leave and wait!

(Little Red Riding Hood leaves.)

NARRATOR: (Sighs) As I was saying… Little Red Riding Hood was—

(Spider-Man jumps in.)

SPIDER-MAN: I am Spider-Man! Strong! Brave! Invincible!

NARRATOR: Oh no… Who invited you?

SPIDER-MAN: I protect the weak and the lost! Someone here must need me!

NARRATOR: Not right now. Please exit. I’m working.

SPIDER-MAN: (Sad) Sorry…

(He leaves.)

(Little Red Riding Hood enters again with a basket.)

NARRATOR: Little Red Riding Hood was a kind girl taking bread and honey to her grandmother when suddenly…

(The Wolf enters.)

WOLF: Hello, little girl! Who are you?

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: I’m Little Red Riding Hood… but my favorite color is pink. And you?

WOLF: I’m the Wolf. And don’t worry, I’m not bad.

(Prince Charming enters with a crystal shoe.)

PRINCE CHARMING: Excuse me! Can you try on this shoe?

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD & WOLF: Why?

PRINCE CHARMING: I’m looking for Cinderella!

(Snow White and the Three Little Pigs come out.)

SNOW WHITE: Did someone say Prince Charming?

PRINCE CHARMING: (Admiring) You’re as white as snow…

Narrator: STOP! Everyone stop! This is supposed to be Little Red Riding Hood’s story!

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Exactly!

NARRATOR: But since nobody listens… I’ll make up my own story!

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: Hey! I was the main character!

ALL (EXCEPT NARRATOR): Not anymore! Ha, ha, ha!

NARRATOR: So Prince Charming fell in love with Snow White, threw away the shoe, and married her.

(Prince Charming kneels. Snow White smiles.)

NARRATOR: They invited Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, the Three Little Pigs—

(Spider-Man jumps in.)

SPIDER-MAN: And me!

NARRATOR: And they all lived happily ever after!

ALL: The End!
