Beware the moon’s embrace, for within it lies the beast’s awakening, where man and wolf entwine, and the hunger for flesh consumes all.

THE NIGHT OF THE WEREWOLF

As the moon rises high in the sky, the town of Greenfield braces itself for another night of terror. For months, a mysterious creature has been roaming the streets, terrorizing its inhabitants and leaving destruction in its wake. Some say it’s a wolf, others say it’s a curse, but no one knows for sure. Until tonight, when three brave children will uncover the truth behind the legend of the Werewolf.

CHARACTERS:

EMMA – a curious young girl

TIMMY – her brave little brother

SARAH – their best friend

JOHNSON – the town’s creepy old man

THE WEREWOLF – a terrifying creature

Act 1

(Scene 1: A dark forest at night. Emma and Timmy are wandering around, looking for their lost dog.)

EMMA: (shivering) Timmy, I’m scared. It’s so dark in here.

TIMMY: Don’t worry, Emma. I’m here to protect you.

EMMA: (smiling) Thanks, Timmy. But do you think we’ll find Rufus?

TIMMY: Of course, we will. He’s a tough little guy.

(Scene 2: Suddenly, they hear a howl in the distance)

EMMA: (screaming) What was that?!

TIMMY: (grabbing her hand) We need to get out of here, now!

(Scene 3: They start running but soon realize they’re lost)

EMMA: (crying) We’re never going to find our way back home!

TIMMY: (looking around) Wait, I see a light over there. Maybe it’s someone who can help us.

(Scene 4: They approach the light and find Mr. Johnson’s cabin)

EMMA: (whispering) Timmy, I don’t like this. Mr. Johnson is weird.

TIMMY: (bravely) Don’t worry, Emma. We’ll just ask for directions and then leave.

(Scene 5: Mr. Johnson opens the door, revealing a creepy interior)

JOHNSON: (smiling sinisterly) Well, well, well. What do we have here?

EMMA: (timidly) Um, sorry to bother you, sir. We’re lost and we need to find our way home.

JOHNSON: (laughing) Home? You won’t be going home anytime soon. Not with the Werewolf on the loose.

Act 2

(Scene 1: Suddenly, the Werewolf appears outside the cabin)

WEREWOLF: (growling) I smell human flesh.

EMMA: (screaming) What do we do?!

TIMMY: (determinedly) We have to fight it!

(Scene 2: Timmy grabs a nearby torch and lights it)

TIMMY: Take that, you monster!

(Scene 3: The Werewolf retreats, but not before scratching Timmy’s arm)

EMMA: (panicking) Timmy, you’re hurt!

TIMMY: (weakly) It’s okay, Emma. We have to get out of here before it comes back.

(Scene 4: They start running, with Sarah joining them)

SARAH: (out of breath) What’s going on?!

EMMA: (crying) We were attacked by the Werewolf!

SARAH: (gasping) Oh no, we have to find a way to stop it!

(Scene 5: They come across a silver bullet factory)

TIMMY: (remembering a story his grandfather told him) Silver bullets can kill a Werewolf!

EMMA: (hopeful) Maybe we can find some here!

(Scene 6: They search the factory and find a box of silver bullets)

SARAH: (determinedly) Let’s go find that Werewolf!

Act 3

(Scene 1: They set a trap for the Werewolf, using a piece of meat as bait)

EMMA: (whispering) Do you think it will work?

TIMMY: (nodding) It has to.

(Scene 2: The Werewolf appears and starts eating the meat)

SARAH: (whispering) Now’s our chance.

EMMA: (shaking) Be careful, Sarah.

(Scene 3: Sarah aims with the silver bullet and fires)

WEREWOLF: (howling in pain) You fools! You cannot defeat me!

TIMMY: (bravely) We’ll see about that!

(Scene 4: Timmy takes the torch and sets the Werewolf on fire)

WEREWOLF: (screaming) Nooo!

(Scene 5: The Werewolf is destroyed, and the children are safe)

EMMA: (hugging Timmy) You were so brave, Timmy.

TIMMY: (smiling) We did it together, Emma.

SARAH: (grinning) And we saved the town from the Werewolf!

(Scene 6: They return to town, where everyone is celebrating their victory.)

MAYOR: (applauding) Thank you, brave children. You have saved us all from the curse of the Werewolf.

EMMA: (blushing) It was nothing, really.

TIMMY: (proudly) We knew we had to stop it.

SARAH: (confidently) And we did.

(Scene 7: The three children walk off into the sunset, their adventure now just a memory)

EMMA: (smiling) I’m glad we’re friends, you guys.

TIMMY: (grinning) Me too, Emma.

SARAH: (laughing) You’re stuck with us now.

As the three children walk off into the sunset, their faces are marked with both triumph and sadness. The town of Greenfield is safe once again, but they know that their adventure has come at a great cost. For they have seen things that no child should see, and they have learned that the world is full of mysteries that may never be fully understood. But as they hold each other’s hands and look up at the stars, they know that they have each other and that no matter what the future may hold, they will face it together, as friends, as heroes, and as the ones who defeated the Werewolf.
