NARRATOR: Once upon a time, in a quiet valley surrounded by hills, lived three Billy Goats. One morning, they spotted a beautiful green meadow on the other side of the hill.
BIG, MIDDLE, AND LITTLE GOAT: Look at that grass! It’s so green and fresh. We have to get there!
NARRATOR: But to reach it, they needed to cross a wooden bridge. Under that bridge lived a mean and ugly troll.
SCENE 2 – Planning to Cross
MIDDLE GOAT: Let’s go now!
BIG GOAT: Wait! What about the troll? He’ll gobble us up the moment we set hoof on that bridge!
MIDDLE GOAT: We need a plan.
BIG GOAT: Yes! Little brother should go first.
LITTLE GOAT: Me? Why me?
BIG GOAT: Because you’re small… and I have a clever idea.
LITTLE GOAT: Well… okay. I’ll go first.
SCENE 3 – The Troll Awakens
NARRATOR: So, the Little Billy Goat stepped onto the bridge. Creak! Creak! The sound woke the troll.
TROLL: (jumping out) Who dares cross my bridge?
LITTLE GOAT: (trembling) It’s just me, Little Billy Goat Gruff.
TROLL: Then I shall eat you for breakfast!
LITTLE GOAT: Please don’t! I’m too little. My big brother is coming next, and he’s much tastier!
TROLL: Hmmm… very well. I’ll wait for him.
LITTLE GOAT: (running off) Thank you!
SCENE 4 – The Second Goat
NARRATOR: Next came the Middle Billy Goat. The bridge creaked again.
TROLL: Who dares cross my bridge?
MIDDLE GOAT: It’s me, Middle Billy Goat Gruff.
TROLL: Aha! I’ve been waiting. Your brother was too scrawny. You’ll be my lunch!
MIDDLE GOAT: Please wait! My older brother is coming. He’s even bigger than me.
TROLL: Bigger? Even better. Go along, then.
SCENE 5 – The Big Goat’s Turn
NARRATOR: Finally, the Big Billy Goat stomped onto the bridge.
TROLL: Who dares cross my bridge?
BIG GOAT: It is I, Big Billy Goat Gruff.
TROLL: At last! I’m starving. You’ll be my supper!
BIG GOAT: Not so fast! I’m stronger than you, troll!
NARRATOR: With a mighty charge, the Big Goat lowered his horns and butted the troll straight into the river!
TROLL: (splashing) Ouch!
SCENE 6 – A Happy Ending
NARRATOR: The troll was never seen again. The three goats crossed the bridge safely and feasted on the sweet, green grass.
BIG, MIDDLE, AND LITTLE GOAT: Mmmmmm, delicious!
NARRATOR: And they lived happily ever after—full and free.
The three Billy Goats Gruff showed that with courage, cleverness, and teamwork, they could overcome any obstacle—even a fierce troll! By working together, they reached the green meadow and enjoyed a delicious feast. From that day on, the goats lived happily and without fear, knowing they were braver and smarter than they ever imagined.
