SCRIPT:

Scene 1: The Bunny House

NARRATOR: It was a beautiful Spring morning, and all the little bunnies in the Bunny family were getting ready for a big day of shopping.

MRS. BUNNY: (Calling out) Hop to it, everyone! Breakfast is on the table, and we have a very busy day ahead!

BUNNY 1: I’m coming, Mommy! I’m almost ready!

BUNNY 2: Mom, I think my shoes have vanished into thin air! I can’t find them anywhere!

MRS. BUNNY: (Laughing) Try looking under your bed, honey. I think they’re playing hide-and-seek.

BUNNY 3: Mommy, where is my lucky green shirt? I want to wear it today!

MRS. BUNNY: It’s hanging right in the closet, dear. Just where you left it.

BUNNY 1, 2, 3: Mommy, we’re ready! But can you please help us with our buttons and laces?

NARRATOR: Mrs. Bunny patiently helped all the little bunnies get dressed and ready for the day.

MRS. BUNNY: There we go. Now, everyone to the kitchen for breakfast! I’ve made those delicious carrot cupcakes you love so much.

BUNNY 1, 2, 3: Hooray! Thank you, Mommy!

Scene 2: The Trip To The Mall

NARRATOR: Once breakfast was finished and every crumb was gone, Mrs. Bunny gathered her keys.

MRS. BUNNY: Everyone into the car! We’re heading to the mall.

BUNNY 1, 2, 3: Yeah! Let’s go!

BUNNY 1: I am so happy! This is going to be the best day ever!

BUNNY 2: Me too! I love seeing all the bright lights at the mall!

BUNNY 3: Mommy… do you think… if we’re extra good, you might buy us an Easter Basket?

MRS. BUNNY: I’ll tell you what—if you can keep your ears up and your voices down, it’s a deal. But only if you behave!

Scene 3: At The Mall

NARRATOR: They finally arrived at the mall. Because they were so excited, the little bunnies forgot their promise and began to make a lot of noise.

MRS. BUNNY: Shh! Be quiet, little ones! You are making such a loud noise that I’m starting to get a headache.

NARRATOR: But the bunnies didn’t listen. They began running through the aisles and jumping over the displays!

MRS. BUNNY: (Firmly) That is enough! If you cannot use your “quiet paws,” then I’m afraid you will not get your Easter Baskets today!

BUNNY 1: Oh no! We forgot our promise!

BUNNY 2: We’re sorry, Mommy! We’ll be good, we promise!

BUNNY 3: Yes, we’ll be as quiet as carrots in a garden!

NARRATOR: For the rest of the trip, the little bunnies were on their very best behavior. They walked quietly and stayed close to their mother. As a reward, Mrs. Bunny bought each of them a beautiful Easter Basket.

BUNNY 1, 2, 3: Thank you, Mommy! We love them!

BUNNY 1: Look at all the delicious candies I have in mine!

BUNNY 2: And look at the colorful eggs in mine! They’re so bright!

BUNNY 3: Wow! Look! Mine has the toy I’ve wanted for a long time!

MRS. BUNNY: You all did a wonderful job. Who would like a strawberry ice cream cone before we head home?

BUNNY 1, 2, 3: We would! Yes, please!

NARRATOR: The little bunnies enjoyed their ice cream cones as a special treat before leaving.

MRS. BUNNY: Let’s head home now. Your father must be waiting for us to hear all about our adventure.

BUNNY 1, 2, 3: Thank you, Mommy, for such a wonderful day at the mall!
