THE LEGEND OF THE BLACK-EYED KIDS

The legend of The Black-Eyed Children is a creepy urban legend that started circulating on the internet in the late 1990s. It tells the story of mysterious children, typically between the ages of 6 and 16, who appear on doorsteps late at night asking for help or to be let inside the house. Also, they may say they’re lost, need to use the phone, or need a ride somewhere. The unsettling twist? Their eyes are black, with no visible iris or pupil.

KNOCK, KNOCK, BLACK-EYED KIDS

Welcome to the Johnsons’ home, a quiet suburban house nestled in the heart of a peaceful neighborhood. Tonight, on Halloween, the Johnsons are settling in for a cozy night at home with their two children, Tommy and Sarah. But as the night wears on, they’re about to receive a knock on the door that will change their lives forever. Because on this dark and eerie Halloween night, the black-eyed kids have come to call…

(The Johnsons are sitting in the living room, trying to process what just happened)

JOHNSON: I can’t believe those kids were really spirits.

MRS. JOHNSON: I’m just glad we were able to banish them before they did any real harm.

SARAH: Do you think they’ll come back?

TOMMY: I don’t ever want to see them again.

MRS. JOHNSON: We need to be careful from now on. You never know what’s lurking in the dark.

Scene 2

(The Johnsons hear a knock on the door)

MRS. JOHNSON: Whom could that be?

JOHNSON: I’ll go check.

(Mr. Johnson opens the door, revealing a group of trick-or-treaters)

TRICK-OR-TREATER #1: Trick or treat!

JOHNSON: Oh, it’s just kids looking for candy.

MRS. JOHNSON: Thank goodness.

(The Johnsons hand out candy and chat with the trick-or-treaters)

TOMMY: This is more like it.

SARAH: Yeah, this is fun.

MRS. JOHNSON: Let’s never forget what we learned tonight. Always be careful whom you let into your home.

The Johnsons learned a valuable lesson that night – to always be careful whom they let into their home. The Black-eyed Kids taught them that danger could be anywhere, and it’s up to us to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Although the Johnsons were scared, they could banish the spirits and came out stronger on the other side. And on this Halloween night, they could enjoy the company of friendly trick-or-treaters, grateful for the reminder that not everything that goes bump in the night is evil.
