CHARACTERS:
FOX
HUNTER 1
HUNTER 2
WOODCUTTER
SCRIPT:
(There is a cottage in the center of the stage. The Woodcutter is cutting some wood. The Fox enters the stage running)
FOX: Help!.
WOODCUTTER: What’s wrong?.
FOX: Help me, please, some hunters are chasing me and they want to kill me!.
WOODCUTTER: Aren’t you the fox that was chasing rabbits in the forest just last week?. How dare you ask me to help you!.
FOX: I’m so sorry, please forgive me, I won’t do it again!.
WOODCUTTER: Go inside the cottage, I’ll take care of the hunters.
FOX: Thank you!.
(The Fox enters the cottage, while the Woodcutter keeps cutting some wood. Hunter 1 and 2 enter the stage, and approach the woodcutter)
HUNTER 1: Good afternoon.
WOODCUTTER: Hello. How can I help you?.
HUNTER 2: Have you seen a fox around here?.
HUNTER 1: We just lost him in the woods!.
WOODCUTTER: No, I haven’t seen him (pointing with his finger towards the cottage where the Fox was).
HUNTER 2: Oh well, we’ll keep looking, he must be near somewhere.
WOODCUTTER: I hope you find him. Good luck!.
HUNTER 1 and 2: Thank you!.
(Hunter 1 y 2 leave the stage. The Fox gets out of the cottage, and walks quickly away from the Woodcutter)
WOODCUTTER: Hey, where are you going?. You’re an ungrateful fox, if it weren’t for me, you’d be dead by now. I just saved your life, and you’re leaving without saying a word!.
FOX: I know I should have thanked you greatly if your deeds had been as good as your words, which means, if you had been as honest with your finger as you were with your tongue. I saw you through the window, and your intention was never to save me. So, good-bye!.
(The Fox leaves the stage)
