SCRIPT:

(Scene: The forest. Snow White is singing softly, braiding flowers. The animals gather around her.)

SNOW WHITE: (singing) Oh, the forest is so beautiful! My heart is never lonely when I’m with my animal friends.

BLUEBIRD: (tweeting happily) The sun is shining, and the flowers are blooming. What a beautiful day!

BUNNY: (hopping around in a playful circle) Hop, hop, hop! Look at me go! I love jumping and exploring this wonderful forest!

SQUIRREL: (chattering, holding a large acorn) Chit-chat, chit-chat! Did you see the acorns I collected? I’ve been busy gathering food for the winter.

(Scene: The Castle. The Queen enters dramatically, looking severe. She sweeps to the mirror.)

QUEEN: (Voice dripping with icy command) Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?

MAGIC MIRROR: Snow White is the fairest in the land.

QUEEN: (Shouting, slamming her hand down) What?! Snow White? I must be rid of her! Bring the Huntsman!

(The Huntsman enters)

QUEEN: Huntsman, take Snow White deep into the forest and silence her forever. Bring me her heart as proof of the deed.

HUNTSMAN: (Shifting nervously) But Your Majesty, I cannot harm Snow White. She is kind and innocent.

QUEEN: (Stepping closer, eyes blazing) Do as I say, Huntsman, or you will face consequences far more severe than death! Fail me, and you’ll regret the day you were born!

(Scene: The forest edge. The Huntsman pulls out a dagger, then hesitates. Snow White looks up at him with trusting eyes.)

HUNTSMAN: (Voice cracking with emotion) Snow White, the Queen wants you dead, but I cannot do it. Run, little one! Run away and never return!

SNOW WHITE: (Eyes wide with terror, then gratitude) Thank you, kind Huntsman. I promise to stay safe. (She turns and flees quickly into the deeper woods.)

NARRATOR: The Huntsman watched Snow White flee, his heart heavy. He knew he could not return empty-handed. Desperate, he found a wild pig in the woods.

HUNTSMAN: (to himself) The Queen demands a heart as proof. I will trick her.

(The Huntsman exits and quickly returns, carrying something wrapped in cloth.)

(Scene: The Castle.)

HUNTSMAN: (bowing) Your Majesty, I have completed the deed. I bring you the proof you requested.

QUEEN: (taking the cloth and unwrapping it, looking pleased) Good. Now I shall truly be the fairest in the land!

NARRATOR: Believing Snow White was dead, the Queen was satisfied. Meanwhile, Snow White was alone in the deep woods.

(Scene: Inside the Dwarves’ cottage. The room is messy and cluttered with mining tools and dirty dishes.)

SNOW WHITE: (Peeking through the small, dirty window) Is anyone home?

DOC: (Adjusting his spectacles, whispering to the others) Whom could that be? We never have callers!

DOPEY: (Jumping up and down, pointing excitedly at the door) Maybe it’s a visitor!

GRUMPY: (Waking with a start, eyes narrowed) Visitors! We don’t need any visitors. (He pulls his hat over his eyes.)

HAPPY: (Bouncing to the door) Let’s open the door and see who it is!

(They open the door. Snow White smiles warmly.)

SNOW WHITE: Hello, little ones! My name is Snow White, and this house is frightfully messy! I need a place to stay, and in return, I’ll clean and cook for you.

BASHFUL: (Hiding his face behind a tall hat) You can stay with us!

SNEEZY: (A tremendous sneeze that makes his hat spin) Bless you!

(Dwarves laugh, then immediately begin to argue about who will show her the kitchen.)

(Scene: The Castle Throne Room.)

NARRATOR: Meanwhile, the Queen decided to consult her mirror once more, still convinced she was the fairest.

QUEEN: (Sweeping to the mirror) Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?

MAGIC MIRROR: Over the mountains, beyond the falls, Snow White still lives beyond the seven dwarves’ walls.

QUEEN: (Screaming, throwing a vase) No! She lives?! And with seven dwarves! She hides in a cottage! I must finish her myself! A child and her tiny protectors will not defeat me!

(Scene: The Castle Dungeon/Laboratory.)

NARRATOR: The wicked Queen could not rest knowing Snow White lived. She descended into her hidden laboratory, determined to eliminate the competition herself. She knew magic was the only way to infiltrate the dwarves’ protection.

QUEEN: (Pacing, a cruel smile on her face) A princess hidden away… Safe with seven ridiculous little men! Foolish Huntsman! No matter. If I cannot reach her as Queen, I shall approach her as someone else!

(The Queen begins mixing bubbling potions in a large cauldron. Sound: ominous sizzling and dark smoke.)

QUEEN: (Chanting dramatically) A disguise for my face! A magic to erase! Beauty gone and malice shown, to wander the woods all alone!

(She scoops up a potion and drinks it. She groans and stumbles, then looks into a hand mirror. She is now an old, ugly peddler woman, hunched and hideous. The change should be visually shocking.)

QUEEN: (In a raspy, old woman’s voice, chuckling wickedly) Perfect! Now, for the final touch… A little gift for the foolish child!

(She opens a hidden book of dark spells, selecting a perfectly red, beautiful apple.)

QUEEN: (Dipping the apple into another potion) One side for me, innocent and sweet. The other side, the poison of a thousand years! One bite, and she will sleep forever!

(Scene: The forest path near the cottage.)

NARRATOR: With her disguise and her deadly weapon ready, the wicked Queen, now an old peddler woman, set off immediately for the dwarves’ cottage, deep in the enchanted forest. She arrived when the dwarves were safely away at the mines.

(The Queen, hunched over and dressed in tattered clothes, her face covered in warts and shadows, slowly approaches the cottage door.)

QUEEN: (In a low, raspy voice) A lonely little princess needs a gift…

(The Queen knocks softly on the cottage door.)

SNOW WHITE: (Calling from inside) Who is it? I was told not to open the door for strangers!

QUEEN: (In a sweet, but raspy, old woman’s voice) Oh, it’s just a poor old woman, my dear! I have beautiful goods to trade! Just open up and see!

(Snow White hesitates, then opens the door slightly, peering out at the old woman.)

QUEEN: (Holding up the gleaming red apple) Try this apple, my dear. It’s truly delicious! It will give you the deepest sleep you’ve ever known.

SNOW WHITE: (Hesitant, taking a step back) Thank you, but I shouldn’t accept gifts from strangers. The little men warned me.

QUEEN: Oh, don’t be silly, my dear. One bite won’t hurt, I promise you! (She demonstrates by biting the non-poisoned side.)

NARRATOR: Snow White took a bite of the poisoned apple and immediately fell into a deep sleep. After a few hours, the dwarves returned to find Snow White lying motionless.

DOC: Oh no! What happened to Snow White?

HAPPY: She must have eaten a poisoned apple.

GRUMPY: (angry) It’s all the Queen’s fault!

NARRATOR: The dwarves realized the old woman must have been the wicked Queen in disguise. They saw a dark figure fleeing into the woods and decided to chase her.

(The dwarves, angry and determined, exit the cottage and pursue the Queen.)

NARRATOR: The Queen fled up a rocky hill, but the dwarves were close behind.

QUEEN: (panicked) I must get away!

NARRATOR: As the Queen stood at the top of the cliff, a great storm brewed. A bolt of lightning struck the ground beside her, causing the earth to crack open. The Queen fell to her death, disappearing forever.

(Scene: The Cottage.)

NARRATOR: The dwarves returned, heartbroken. They could not bear to bury Snow White, so they placed her in a glass coffin in the forest, watching over her. It was there that a traveling Prince came upon her.

PRINCE: (dismounting his horse) What a tragic sight. Who is this beautiful maiden?

DOC: Please, Prince, help us save Snow White! She is cursed by the Queen’s poison.

PRINCE: (gazing upon her) She is too beautiful for such an end.

(The Prince kneels and kisses Snow White.)

PRINCE: True love’s kiss will break the spell.

(Snow White wakes up.)

SNOW WHITE: (waking up) Oh, where am I?

PRINCE: You’re safe now, Snow White. I love you.

SNOW WHITE: And I love you too, Prince.

NARRATOR: Snow White and the Prince got married, and the dwarves celebrated their love. They all lived happily ever after.

Through her trials, Snow White showed us that even in moments of fear and darkness, kindness and courage shine brightest. Her pure heart triumphed over jealousy, her friendship with the dwarves reminded us of the power of unity, and true love’s kiss revealed that goodness can awaken even the deepest sleep. May Snow White’s story inspire us to stay kind, brave, and hopeful—because when we fill our hearts with love, every ending can become a new beginning filled with light and joy.
