ACT 1

NARRATOR: Long ago, in a small village in Italy, there lived a kind but lonely woodcarver named Geppetto. One day, he carved a puppet and wished with all his heart that it could become his child.

GEPPETTO: Oh, how I wish I had a son. Someone to laugh with and talk to. (Looks at puppet) I’ll call you… Pinocchio.

PINOCCHIO: (suddenly moving) Good morning, Father!

GEPPETTO: (startled, then joyful) You’re alive! My wish came true!

PINOCCHIO: What am I? Who am I?

GEPPETTO: You are my son, Pinocchio. And I love you very much.

NARRATOR: Pinocchio was excited to be alive—but he didn’t yet know how to make good choices.

NARRATOR: That night, a tiny visitor arrived to help guide Pinocchio.

JIMINY CRICKET: Hello there! I’m Jiminy Cricket, your conscience. I’ll help you learn right from wrong.

PINOCCHIO: Will you help me become a real boy?

JIMINY CRICKET: Of course! But you must be brave, truthful, and unselfish.

PINOCCHIO: I promise to try!

ACT 2

NARRATOR: On his way to school, Pinocchio met two sneaky strangers.

FOX: Why go to school when you could be rich and famous?

CAT: Yes! Come with us. We know a place full of fun.

PINOCCHIO: Really? That sounds exciting!

JIMINY CRICKET: Pinocchio, be careful! Not everyone tells the truth.

NARRATOR: But Pinocchio ignored the warning and followed them.

NARRATOR: Pinocchio soon arrived at the Land of Toys, where children played all day and never went to school.

BOYS: No school! Just fun! Stay and play!

PINOCCHIO: This is amazing!

NARRATOR: But the fun didn’t last. The boys began turning into donkeys—and so did Pinocchio!

PINOCCHIO: Oh no! I should have listened!

JIMINY CRICKET: It’s not too late to make things right.

ACT 3

NARRATOR: Pinocchio realized that his choices mattered. He wanted to make things right and return to his father.

PINOCCHIO: I will be brave. I will tell the truth. I will be kind.

NARRATOR: With courage and determination, Pinocchio found his way home.

GEPPETTO: Pinocchio! You came back!

PINOCCHIO: I’m sorry for my mistakes, Father. I want to be good.

JIMINY CRICKET: He has learned his lesson.

NARRATOR: Because of his honesty, bravery, and love for his father, Pinocchio’s wish finally came true.

PINOCCHIO: I feel different… I feel real!

GEPPETTO: You are real—because you have a good heart.
