GNOMES – ELEMENTAL SPIRITS OF THE EARTH

Gnomes are fantastic creatures in human form. They are small, measure between 10 and 25 cm. in height and are seven times stronger than humans. They generally wear a pointed red cap and a knee-length blue tunic. Most of them have beards, while the female gnomes are beardless. A gnome can live 400 to 800 years approximately, and when he dies, a tree grows in the exact place where he left.

Gnomes are elemental spirits of the earth, and people believed that the different gnomes came out of various precious stones hidden underground, which opened like flowers releasing the first gnomes. Therefore,  they love gemstones and build their homes underground or on the rocks. These beings work and maintain the physical structure of the earth. They know the secrets of nature and are like its soul. They are necessary for plants, flowers, and trees to grow, and maintain the soil, so we have a place to grow and evolve. One of the reasons we feel so good when surrounded by plants, flowers, animals, and nature is because of the healing power of these beings from the Elemental Kingdom. They are the visible and invisible force that rules over flowers, plants, trees, soil, sand, rocks, stones, crystals, and all living things.

These little people work in mines. They always carry with them a hammer or a shovel, and it is there that they restore and protect the treasures of the earth, such as minerals, metals, crystals, and precious stones, particularly gold.

Since they live underground, they are necessary for the growth process of plants, so it is good luck that they are in the garden. They are nocturnal beings, who sleep during the day and work at night, which is why very few humans have seen a gnome. These creatures do not like light, and when they come out of the ground and see daylight, they turn into stone, but at night they return to their original state and continue to take care of the garden where they live and protect the owner of the garden of evil spells.

Gnomes are usually in one place and cannot fly. Also, they help fairies create color and texture in nature. They are shy, harmless, intelligent, and hard workers. They are vegetarians and like to eat nuts, mushrooms, peas, beans, fruit, cherries, and vegetables. And to drink, they enjoy a delicious wine made from fermented honey, raspberries, and ginger.

Some gnomes live in the great forests far from civilization as they do not like to be disturbed, and if someone dares to disturb them, they might bite him with their sharp teeth. Despite this, they are very gentle beings and make sure that all living creatures are safe. They often help injured animals, and when they go for walks, they carry knives to rescue animals that fall into traps, which gnomes consider their worst enemy since they destroy the environment. For this reason, they don’t tolerate those who do not respect the planet. They love Mother Nature, and she loves them.

The next time you see a beautiful green garden or meet a gardener who has magical hands to maintain a beautiful garden, it is because he is receiving the help of a gnome.
