FREDDY KRUEGER – THE DREAM WORLD KILLER
Frederick Charles Krueger (Freddy Krueger), is the villain of the series of horror films “A Nightmare on Elm Street” that was released on November 9, 1984. He appears as the demonic spirit of a psychotic burned serial killer who, with his metal-clawed gardener’s glove, murders his teenage victims in their terrifying, self-created nightmares, thereby causing their deaths in reality. In the dream world, it is impossible for Freddy to die. Therefore, the most successful way to kill him is to take him to the real world where he loses all his powers and to get him out of there, the victim must hold on tightly to him as he leaves the dream world.
How did Freddy Krueger become the dream world killer?
Freddy died several times in this movie saga. When he was human, he was a child serial killer. When they discovered him, the parents of the children who lived on Elm Street captured him, poured gasoline on him, and burned him alive, for that reason his skin is burned and he lacks hair. However, as the parents watched the building burn to the ground, the dream demons took advantage of the moment to trap Freddy. These supernatural entities offered Freddy the opportunity to continue carrying out his sadistic crimes by making him an inhabitant of the world of dreams. There, he was able to visit his victims in their dreams where he controlled and manipulated them in limitless ways, as long as they remembered and feared him in the real world. In that world, he could shapeshift, move objects telepathically, and any damage he caused in the dream also happened in the real world.
